Season’s Greetings Winter Bunny

by egarcia on December 10, 2013

Hi all,

Today we had a snow day which means that my daughter had no school and I got to stay home from work.  Needless to say I’ve spent part of the day playing in my craft room.  Here’s one of the cards I made today.  I just love this one!

The papers come from Lawn Fawn’s Fa La La 6×6 collection.  I purchased it late last year during the Holiday season and didn’t get to break into it until this year.  I’ve been having so much fun playing with this collection.

For the focal I first cut out the circle of white card stock using Spellbinders dies.  I then used stamps from the Let It Snow Lawn Fawn set to create the snow hill, the trees, and the embossed snow.  I used Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass distress inks to create the sky color.  The star of the focal area is of course Winter Bunny.  I stamped the image on white card stock and colored i tin with copics.  I used my Wink of Stella pen to add the glitter onto the scarf.  Finally I backed the piece with using a lacey ovals die from Spellbinders.

For the greeting I had the white card stock strip already on my desk from a previous project and wanted to use it.  So I had to find a greeting that would fit.  The “Season’s Greetings” comes from Hero Arts Holiday Sayings.  I stamped it using Memento Rhubarb Stalk, the perfect red in my book.  Finally I added the ribbon and I have to say I’ve never had such an easy time tying a bow directly onto a card as I did with this ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
