Hi all,
Today I’m sharing a card I’m submitting to the new Lawnscaping Challenge: Winter Wonderland, yay!
I’m thrilled that I had some time this weekend to play along with this challenge. I love the Lawnscaping challenges but rarely get to play. Here’s my submission.
This was such a fun card to make. I love creating these snowy type of scenes. I used the Making Frosty Friends stamp set from Lawn Fawn. This is such a fun set to play with. It includes two snowmen and all sorts of things to “dress” them. The background papers are old ones from Hot Off The Press’ Christmas Ultimate Cardmakers kit.
I love paper piecing and Lawn Fawn stamps are perfect for this technique. I paper pieced the hat and scarf. Isn’t that little bird adorable? My favorite winter time birds are cardinals. There is a couple that hangs out in my backyard every winter. It’s so great in the middle of winter and everything around me is brown to see the pop of red of the cardinal fluttering around in the tree branches. So I decided to color this little bird red. I used copics to color him and his stylish scarf. I punched out a heart from card stock and added it to the snowman. Finally I added some silver stickles to the snow bank. It just makes it all look wintery to me.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks for stopping by!
